Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is a famous American actress and producer recognized for her roles played as the character of Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist as well as the TV series The Mentalist. She has an BA in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is an actor, writer and American actress active in theatre as well as television and film. She began her career acting in the theatre and then went on to make appearances in numerous TV shows, both mainstream and independent films. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic drama The Book of Negroes. In both roles, she won critical acclaim as well as numerous nominations and awards, including an award from the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. Her first professional performance was as Ariel as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. On Broadway, she has appeared in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. In her film career, she's best known for performances such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. Her most well-known role is her part in ABC's crime drama High Incident.
